Etihad unveils Almaty route (ABU DHABI)

Etihad Airways said yesterday it has launched its first flight from Abu Dhabi to Almaty in Kazakhstan, taking the airline’s worldwide destinations to 50.
The four flights a week Almaty service follows Etihad’s Monday launch of its Moscow route, which will operate five times weekly.

Etihad Airways would be able to reduce its annual aviation fuel bill by Dh73 million ($20m) by the end of this year, owing to a series of cost-saving measures.
